Create Book Matter

Once you have your book interior created and your book cover designed, you’re nearly ready for publication. Before that, you’ll need to have your book matter ready. Book matter is information that describes and complements your book. This includes the following items:

• Book description. How would you describe your book to a stranger? Why should a reader buy your book? What problems does it solve? These are all reasons for readers to buy your book. Your description needs to do all this.
• Author Page: This is the author bio and tells readers about you. You get a FREE author landing page when you publish with me, see some examples on the list of published authors. You can also include a photo.
• Acknowledgements (optional). You can acknowledge anyone who helped make your book a possibility.
• Search Keywords: These phrases help readers find your book online. For example, if you were Stephen King and you wrote IT, you might use search phrases such as “horror story”, “clown fear”, “horror fantasy” – the more accurate the phrases, the better chance your book will be found.
